Fashion Story with Irene

I enjoyed shooting this fashion story and putting it together in post-production. I like the concept of showing various moments and time passing in one photograph.

LES vs. UES Voting Results

51% of the votes went to the Upper East Side and 49% to the Lower East Side. I’m surprised to see how close the vote came. I personally like the qualities of both. I like that fashion on the LES is very bold, edgy, and creative. I also like the classic and beautiful clothing and accessories found on the UES.

Thank you to the women who participated and to my wife Maria, who was a big help in selecting the outfits as we walked around town.

VOTE! Lower East Side vs. Upper East Side SPRING FASHION

As with many cities around the world, neighborhoods in New York City vary drastically from each other. Uptown and Downtown are two different worlds. The most contrast, I’d say, is between the Lower East Side and the Upper East Side. Fashion is just one illustration of this contrast. Both are very hip in their own ways. What do you think? Vote now for your favorite.

Voting ends on 6/21

Photo Story in M Magasin

Here’s a fashion reportage story I did for Sweden’s M Magasin. The story focused primarily on mature women’s fashion. Clearly, women in New York know how to dress and have fun.

Hair Story with Chantal

One aspect I enjoy most about Beauty test shoots is the freedom to experiment and try something less conventional. This shoot with Chantal Stafford-Abbott from Marilyn is a perfect example.

We had just finished the shoot with Ieva and had already exceeded our allotted time in the studio space (every additional 15 minutes increased the studio overtime fee). So, time was most definitely of the essence.

We started shooting at 6:10 and finished at 6:50. That’s 4 different looks in 40 minutes! We had to work fast, problem solve quickly, and shoot quickly. I’m very pleased with how well everything came together and plan to submit the story to various online and print magazines. I’ll keep you posted with how those submissions go.

Side note: Congratulations to Chantal for just finishing the Marc Jacobs show for NYC fashion week!
